Saturday’s work- a small pony wandering loose in Teulada no chip and with a damaged back leg. Looks like it was broken or the tendon snapped and it has been left to heal alone, with the hoof then very badly overgrown.
Welcome to APAC, Peanut you will stop being nervous soon and made to feel much more comfortable, J Jacobo Rodriguez is coming to trim your hoof today and a happy bright future is waiting for you ❤️❤️❤️
The mare “Hope” newly rescued in Gandia making her trip to APAC, a terrifying experience for her.
Please don’t drive past a horse and beep, it is terrifying for the horse and dangerous for the person in charge.
A busy weekend for APAC Caballos Rescue Horses removing a poor Mare & Pony from distress in the Gandia area, now newly arrived at the APAC Yard.
All the animals there including numerous dogs were badly neglected, with no vet treatment, very little food and no water in this appalling heat.
The Mare now named “Hope” has got terrible melanoma, a huge abscess on her neck and an infection in at least two of her feet, the pony (Mini Cooper) was a little better.
The local protectora have been taking care of them for approx 3 weeks and they actually look a little better in our pictures than they did when they were first denounced to Seprona.
If you see animals in distress we can’t emphasise the most important step of helping them is FIRST make a DENUNCIA to Seprona in this way the local Protectora can help the animal.

We are having a Coyboy & Indian Theme Party to help “Chyla” celebrate her 1st Birthday. All drinks and tapas 1 euro from 6pm until late at the APAC Yard, La Xara, Denia.
Grab your guns, bows & arrows and party streamers and help us celebrate this thing called life, that we try so hard to save!!!
Jess (Chyla’s Mum) was found in the road collapsed on her side due to exhaustion and the soaring summer temperatures, she was helped by some passers by who definatley saved her life and then brought down to APAC Caballos rescue centre, and after a few months our surprise “Chyla” joined our world of rescue animals. She represents to us, all that we aspire to do, Save Lives.
Please Join Us to Celebrate !!!
Please Do Not Feed Other People’s Horses!!!
This is Pedro – he has had a hard life, clearly not rideable although in the past he has sadly.
He has had a terrible week of colic almost like being poisoned last week and lost approx 40 kilos due to people feeding our rescue horses old moldy bread over the fence. 4 other horses have also been colicky and unwell – we don’t need the vets bills, extra work and worry – please don’t feed horses you don’t have permission to – ❤️

Follow the link below to follow our campaign to help raise the 20,000 euros we need to buy the field and return the horses home.
Sadly we have lost the field ajacent to the APAC Yard, in La Xara, Denia where our current 26 rescue horses are turned out, the owner would like to sell the field and while he is looking for a buyer has asked for the horses to be removed.
At the moment the herd of horses are spilt into 3 groups using different kindly donated fields of land around the area, although the horses are ok in this respect, it is a great struggle logistically having them all apart.
The problems we are maily seeing are horses who need more care and supervision are not getting the constant time they need, we dont see if they are eating correctly or being included in the herd or the older weaker ones being excluded from the group.
Feeding time is now very complicated as 3 plus times a day doing the rounds of three differnt places is time consuming and not an easy task, on the sadder side the food that was donated to us and now stored outside the fields are being stolen! Just unbelievable people stealing our hay but as the horses fields are not visible to us we cant monitor this problem.
The horses themsleves are missing all the attention they used to get from all of our volounteers and of course Lois.
We are trying to raise the money now to buy the field and bring the horses home all together again.
We hope you can support us in any way. Thank You x
